Who are the Early Early Voters?
In-person early voting begins today in Virginia, with typical long lines that are catnip for media since it provides good pictures. The first day of in-person early voting rush is like Black Friday for political junkies. There is a festive atmosphere among the eager people cast their ballots.
A common complaint about voting so early — 46 days before the November 3 election — is that these voters may regret their vote if new information becomes available. The last day has indeed seen surprising news about some candidates. But, I don’t think there is much risk these earliest of early voters will regret their vote.
