Requested Mail Ballots Are Not Always Returned or Accepted
We are little under a month away from the November 8th general election and mail balloting is underway in several states. Minnesota and Virginia have also logged a fair number of in-person early votes, which will come to dominate early voting in states that offer both voting methods.
With few requested ballots actually returned yet — about 5% of those requested — some analysts are focusing on mail ballot requests.
Take mail ballot request statistics with a grain of salt, because I explain here, we do not know yet how many of those people will successfully return their mail ballots.
